Singaporean Shoppers, The Most Environment-Unfriendly Among Asia Pacific

I wasn’t surprised when I was reading this report conducted by the AC Nielsen. Personally, I do not like carrying plastic bags, carriers. Every time I go shopping for grocery, I bring along my sling bag or haversack. I will just throw everything inside my bag and make my 2 arms bag-free. But every time, in NTUC Fairprice, Giant, Shop n Save, ect, we can see many peoples leaving with lots and lots of plastic bags in their hands or trolleys. And, when the government launched the “Bring Your Own Bag Day” campaign somewhere around last year, we saw many people complained about it. They claimed that since they had paid, they deserved to have the plastic carriers given free, or it had brought them lots of troubles blah blah blah. Well, this is maybe due to the culture here and the very different shopping habits. But to say that Singaporean shoppers the most environment-unfriendly, I agree……
