Maia, don’t you know there is something called CONDOM?

At home,
“Mummy, why didi and I look so different? Auntie said my hair black black my eyes brown brown and I look typical Chinese, but didi looks like angmoh with blonde hair, blue eyes, why like that?”
“Boy ah boy, because didi and you got same mummy, that is me, but different daddy mah.”
“Why leh? Why different daddy?”
“……”

In P1 classroom,
Miss Cai, “Little boy, come, introduce yourself to your new classmates.”
“Good morning everyone, my name is Lee Set See, I am 7 years old”
Miss Cai, “Good, Set See, how about your family?”
“I got a mummy and 1 didi at home. My didi is 2 years old. Everyone is saying that my did is cute and looks like angmoh. Mummy said that’s because did and I got different daddy. Mine is Chinese and didi’s is angmoh. Mummy also said she is dating a Japanese. I hope I will have a Japanese meimei!”
Miss Cai, “……”

I am referring to this, Local singer Maia pregnant.

Quoted from The Straits Times:

“The baby is mine and I will be there to be his father, and I will take care of the baby”, the 26 years old Croat said.

He said that he and Lee are “not together” and that they are just “very good and close friends”.

Maia, don’t you know there is something on this planet called CONDOM?

But well, I am just a nobody, and shall not criticize on her morals, her values, or her “openness”. And I am not going to use those words that I saw on local forums like “SBS bus”, “public transports”, “public bicycle”, or “foodcourt toilet” on her here.

So, how many “very good and close friends” do you have? Too bad that I do not have any…… Anyone wanna be my “very good and close friends”? No pregnancy attached!

Who cares if the child doesn’t look like the parents? In the West, it’s common and even an honour to adopt a foreign child who does not look at all like the parents. Though it’s Maia’s biological daughter no doubt, life’s too short to care and live for what other people think.
