One Month Anniversary - Mas Selamat bin Kastari’s Toilet Break
Mar 27, 2008 Gossips, Life, Singapore, Stupid Stuffs
It has been 1 month since Mas Selamat bin Kastari escaped from Whitley Detention Centre while taking his Toilet Break. And he is still taking his Toilet Break. The government said there is no evidence showing that he has left Singapore for neighbouring countries. But I am more interested to know if there is any evidence showing that he is still in Singapore. So many army boys, polices officers, Home Team members carried out so many search around this little, couldn’t find any evidence? There were people claiming that they saw Mas Selamat at Pasir Ris McDonald buying food, but there was no official info from the relevant party. All the trucks, lorries drivers must be cursing and swearing at him now because due to his Toilet Break, the custom check has been very strict and lengthy. This has caused terrible traffic jams around Woodlands Checkpoint area, and the drivers have to wait for almost 20 hours just to clear custom check to cross the Causeway.
I did some search and found some funny, interesting articles regarding this incident.
Mr Brown never fails to bring laughters to us. Pointless Mas Selamat Letter/News of the Day
I like this article, and i kind of think that it is actually suan-ing the government (the part where the author said that oppositions are to blame). National Manhunt : Where is Mas Selamat?
This Uncyclopedia entry is funny. Mas Selamat bin Kastari
And I am actually amazed that someone asked “Where is Mas Selamat?” on Yahoo Answer.
Also, there are lots of Mas Selamat-related video clips on Youtube.
OK, have fun.

Golden Village To Increase Ticket Prices
Mar 26, 2008 Life, Money, Singapore
See, just 2 months back was Cathay, now is GV. Must think THRICE now before going to cinema…
Taken from Channel News Asia:
Golden Village to increase ticket price by 50 cents
Posted: 26 March 2008 1944 hrs
SINGAPORE: Starting on Thursday, there will be a 50 cents increase for movie tickets at Golden Village cinemas.
Golden Village Multiplex has announced that it will revise its ticket prices at its nine outlets.
The organisation said the price increase is a result of the current market situation and rising costs.
However, Gold Class and Cinema Europa ticket prices, movie promotional packages and rates with banks, students and other promotional partners will remain unchanged.
Other organisations like Cathay Cineplex and Eng Wah Organisation have no plans to increase ticket prices.

What Action Will McDonald Take Against Sex-In-McDonald-Uniform Staff?
Mar 26, 2008 Gossips, Scandals, Singapore
I was forwarded a link and was told that it is something “exciting”. I thought it might be some Hollywood or Hongkong scandals again, so I followed the link. I was led to an online streaming of a video clip, taken by cellphone I guess. It is a video clip of 3 teenagers, 2 guys 1 girl, making out at staircase of a HDB flat. It lasted about 5 minutes. The girl served the 2 guys using most of the tools that she possessed. Also, they changed into a few different positions. The girl looked focused, enjoyed, and even smiled at the camera, so I don’t think she was forced into doing it. There was a third guy holding the cellphone doing the filming.
To my surprised, I found the clothes on the guys and girl familiar. But I wasn’t sure initially. After examining it a few times, I saw a familiar logo on the left side of 1 guy’s chest. It is the McDonald logo! The 2 guys are the McDelivery crew. You know, the maroon colour shirt with black pants. And the girl is in the front counter service crew uniform also! The lattice shirt, with no pant…
I checked the date of the file. It was uploaded just 2, 3 days ago, so it is relatively new. But there is no way for me to know when was it filmed since there was no time and date footage in the cideo clip. This is interesting. Is the clip uploaded to internet to show off or accidentally leaked out, like a certain Edison Chen? But this one is much more daring. It was taken in broad daylight at the staircase of HDB flat. For overseas readers, last I read over 60% of Singaporeans stay in HDB flat (correct me if I am wrong). It was 2 against 1 (it could be 3 against 1 because I am not sure if the “cameraman” had joined in the fun or not). And I guess the girl was not older than 18 years old. Some more, they were in McDonald’s uniform!
This will surely tarnish McDonald’s image in Singapore. Mcdonald is trying very hard to build a healthy lifestyle image, including introducing healthier food, and revamping their outlets in Singapore. If this video tape becomes a “public topic” like NYP’s Tammy scandals, surely McDonald will have some damage control to do. I am talking this from the point of view of McDonald’s management.
Seriously, who cares what they did if they did it during their break right? But, be more careful lah. Either they changed their clothes or take off their uniform lah, so that people cannot recognize it mah. By the way, which company’s uniform would you like to see in future scandals?
Last, don’t ask me to forward you the link. Do some homeworks and use some keywords to search, you will get it.

Singaporean Shoppers, The Most Environment-Unfriendly Among Asia Pacific
Mar 26, 2008 Gossips, Life, Singapore, Stupid Stuffs
I wasn’t surprised when I was reading this report conducted by the AC Nielsen. Personally, I do not like carrying plastic bags, carriers. Every time I go shopping for grocery, I bring along my sling bag or haversack. I will just throw everything inside my bag and make my 2 arms bag-free. But every time, in NTUC Fairprice, Giant, Shop n Save, ect, we can see many peoples leaving with lots and lots of plastic bags in their hands or trolleys. And, when the government launched the “Bring Your Own Bag Day” campaign somewhere around last year, we saw many people complained about it. They claimed that since they had paid, they deserved to have the plastic carriers given free, or it had brought them lots of troubles blah blah blah. Well, this is maybe due to the culture here and the very different shopping habits. But to say that Singaporean shoppers the most environment-unfriendly, I agree……

Cheerleader Killed By Boob Job
Mar 26, 2008 Around the Word, Life, Terrible Stuffs
I always wonder, is there a necessary for teenagers at such young age to go for plastic surgery? This is such a pity case, 18 year-old sweet young thing, gone. The parents must be very sad, with themselves now.
Quoted from Metro.co.uk:
Schoolgirl cheerleader has died as a result of having a boob job.
Eighteen-year-old Stephanie Kuleba is believed to have had an extreme reaction to anaesthetic. Her kidneys closed down and she was put on life support but died the following day.
Rest in peace.
