Speedo LZR Racer - 18 world swimming records since 16th Feb 08
As for today, 19 world swimming records have been broken since 16th Feb 2008, in 6 weeks times. Another surprising fact, 18 out of the 19 broken records were achieved by swimmers wearing Speedo LZR Racer in competitions.

Now, it is obvious that this swimsuit is able to help swimmers to swim faster. Even by as little as 2%, it is still an advantage. For the swimmers who are not sponsored by Speedo, it is a difficult decision to make now. Olympic medal is too big to miss.
Actually, I am more concerned now if swimming has become a wealth competition instead of sports competition. For those who cannot afford the USD550 price tag, how are they going to compete?

This is amazing but sometimes I think it’s a little to amazing because I totally agree with you on the fact that maybe swimming is stering in the direction of you have to have the ” BIG BUCKS ” enable to gain the gold. I personally enjoy competitive swimming and hoping to purchase a LZR racer but not a full body suit model because if you look at the tag price it is pretty hefty, but at the same time I feel that just this suits release alone its gonna cause us regulars to have to put more heart into our swim if we want to someday be able to be standing on that starting block over looking the calm clear blue waters of those nice olympic pools
(sorry got a little into it there and anyways lets finish my ramble now haha). I personally know that it will be a while before most swimmers will get such a suit and I know the other company’s such as addida’s will soon come up witht here own suit be it just as good or even better than speedo’s. I believe that with this it will set in line a new generation of speed in swimming a generation that will lead to young swimmers and old putting themselves to there swim and to there training, and I for one know that I for sure know that I’m definitely going to be working ALOT harder.
