Is It Girl Next Door or Ahlian Next Door?
I think, FHM have given the term “Girl Next Door” a whole new meaning.
I always think that a “girl next door” should somehow looks like this

You know, that kind of looks that a guy will want to bring her home to meet the parents.
However, neither of the girls in the final 10 of FHM GND 2008 list gave me such feeling. No offense, but they look more like Ahlian or cheongsters to me more than girl next door. Maybe it is because of the costume, maybe it is really because of the girls themselves. Or maybe, it’s because of me myself? I don’t know. I just don’t feel that they are the girls next door, but girls many doors away from me. I am not saying that they are not pretty. Some (not all) of them are indeed pretty. But to fit the criteria of “girl next door”, hmmmmm……

What’s your take? Are they “girl next door” enough for you? Would you like to bring them home for a dinner with your parents?

Definitely a girl-next-door, no questions asked. Would be proud to show people too, other than my parents, if I have one in my arms.
