Dina, It Is Not About Saving The Earth

I could not stop laughing when I saw this:

PETALING JAYA: She used to throw rubbish everywhere but now “Malaysian Idol” finalist Dina has renewed her pledge to stop littering.

“I used to be a very messy person. I littered everywhere and I did not recycle,” said Dina yesterday.
Her ways changed when she performed at her first environmental concert three years ago and organisers showed her video clips of polluted rivers and lakes.

“I was all grossed out and from that moment onwards, I vowed to never litter again. I am going to continue doing so,” she told The Star.

Dina, a civilized and educated adult will not litter everywhere. We do not need a reason to stop littering, just a habit. Linking it to “recycling”, “greener environment”, “save the earth” sounds lame.
