Daspu – The Brazilian Fashion Label Designed & Produced By Prostitutes
Daspu – shortform for ‘das putas’ meaning ‘from the whores’. Daspu is not new. It was set up few years back. The mastermind of Daspu is Davida, an NGO that defends the rights of sex workers in Rio de Janeiro. Founder of Davida is Gabriela Leite, a former prostitutes herself.
Daspu is making waves in Brazil fashion industry. It was features in Off Fashion Rio Show in Rio de Janeiro recently.
