Pomi, The Robotic Penguin That Can See, Touch, Hear and Smell
Pomi, short form of “Penguin Robot for Multimodal Interaction”. This robotic penguin is developed by The Electronics and Telecommunications Research Institute (ETRI). ETRI is currently applying 5 international patents for Pomi. Pomi is due for commercial use. Pomi can see, touch, hear and smell.
Pomi can move its lips, eyebrows. It has two kinds of fragrances that match its emotions. This robot is programmed to respond to users through voice recognition technology and various sensors allow it to recognise and locate humans.
