What’s The Rationale Of Maintaining 2 Identical Blogs?
Oct 25, 2008 Blogosphere
I was searching for some info on Google, and I was reading a few sites at the same time. Then I realized that, 2 of the sites I visited are actually identical blogs maintained by the same author, with exactly the same blog entries. I supposed 1 is the so-called original blog, while the other one on another platform is the one set up later.
The contents are identical. Whatever I read on blog A, I saw it on blog B, with the exactly same title, same article, same photos/images. Oh yah, the comments are different.
This puzzles me actually. What’s the purpose of doing that? To me, personal blogs (not including those money making blogs) are about expressing one’s feeling, ideas, emotions, or sharing one’s thoughts, experience, information. No offense to anyone here, I feel that if one has nothing more to share, to talk about, why has 2 second blog? It looks kind of stupid to me to just copy and paste the whole chunk of stuffs from 1 blog to another. To cater for another group of readers or expand readership? Then I think there are lots of “smarter” way to do that. Or, one is doing that just for the fame of it because the 2nd platform is actually set up by a media giant?
I am not condemning anyone/anything here. It is just my thought. I feel that if I were to have 2 or more blogs, I would definitely have different contents for each of them. From there, then I try to attract the readers from 1 to another.
What do you think? Will you do that? Or are you doing that? What’s the reason behind then?

hmmm..
perhaps it is a remnant from exporting from one place to another?

yup, i used the export function from my old blog to my new blog so the 2 blogs are identical. I think it’s just to keep record. Anyway space is free right?
