Daniel, 19, had been visiting pals when he got into a row with a man who had tried to grab his gold chain.
But as the teenager grappled with David Cummins he suddenly went for a handgun — which went off accidentally as they fought.
By a million-to-one chance the bullet was blocked by Daniel’s nose, leaving him in agony but still conscious.
