83-Year-Old, Printed Money At Home
83-year-old Dennis Hancox is the leader of the gang. By the time he was arrested, the gang had forged £8.5million of banknotes in his living room.
Given their ages, they were unlikely candidates for an £8million forgery ring.
But the criminals, whose headquarters belonged to an 83-year-old gang member, managed to flood Britain and the Continent with fake cash.
When police raided the tiny flat, which had a mobility scooter parked outside, they found a printing press which pumped out ‘foiled and finished’ £20 and 50 euro notes.
The sophisticated but noisy machinery explained the banging and drilling sounds neighbours regularly complained about.
