Hong Kong Top Civil Servant Caught Surfing Porn In Office
I’m OK with porn, but not during working hours.
The lure of pornography on the internet may have been too great for an assistant director at the Environmental Protection Department.
The Civil Service Bureau is investigating allegations that he has been monitored spending up to three-quarters of his working day visiting pornographic websites.
It is alleged the directorate grade two officer, who draws a monthly salary of more than HK$122,000, has been tracked by security-software staff visiting the porn sites and reported to his supervisor.
The department then passed the case to the Civil Service Bureau whose chief, Denise Yue Chung-yee, has asked for an explanation.
