Malaysia Decides To “Protect” Mas Selamat For 2 Years
You see, Malaysia has decided to detain Mas Selamat for a 2 years term, under Internal Security Act. But, anyone still remember what happened to Tan Hoon Cheng, the poor reporter from Sinchew Daily? She was also arrested under Malaysia ISA, and released the next day. And the explanation from then Home Minister Datuk Seri Syed Hamid Albar was that “Tan’s detention under the ISA was part of the police’s swift action to ensure her safety after she received threatening calls.“
