Russian Mosque Fined For Disturbing Public Order
This is soooooo normal in Malaysia……
The Mahmoud Effendi mosque in Astrakhan, a southwestern Russian town, has been fined for disturbing public order, a source from the regional prosecutor’s office reports.
Neighboring residents addressed the local authorities, complaining that sound amplifiers had been regularly used for calls to prayer twice a day, at 4 a.m. and 11 p.m.
Following the Russian consumer watchdog’s expert investigation, the prosecutor’s office has fined the mosque for considerably exceeding acceptable night-time sound norms.
