Evelyn Duenos “agonised” over the decision to sell her virginity to the highest bidder but decided it was the only way to raise money to support her mother, who suffers from Alzheimer’s disease.
The 28-year-old Ecuadorian immigrant, who is a medical student, said the wages she earns as a cleaner in Valencia on Spain’s southeastern coast were not sufficient to cover her mother’s care back in Ecuador.
“I saw adverts placed by other girls and it made me think hard about doing the same thing,” she told Spanish media.
“It was not an easy decision to make because I never thought my first time would be with a stranger.
“But I am not doing anything wrong – I’m not doing this out of greed or stealing anything from anybody,” she insisted. “I am doing this out of love for my mother and that is all that matters.”
