Man Arrested For Raping Puppy

A Long Island, NY man has been charged with sexual misconduct, attempted sexual misconduct and burglary after he allegedly broke into his tenants’ apartment to sexually assault their two-year-old Shiba Inu named Snowball.
Mitchell Marsicano, 55, was arrested Friday morning and faces up to 15 years in prison if convicted of burglary and one year for misdemeanor sexual misconduct. NBC news reports that on two occasions in October, Marsicano reportedly broke into the upstairs apartment of the house that he owned to have sex with the 23-pound dog.
Marsicano used to own the dog but gave it to his tenants, who contacted authorities after reportedly walking in on Marsicano sexually abusing the dog in their own apartment.
Snowball underwent an exam for trauma and veterinarians said he suffered injuries to his legs, which are consistent with being restrained. The dog was also nervous when the vets touched his hind legs. Snowball is being taken care of in an animal shelter.
Marsicano is due back in court on Oct. 27.
