Jamie Yeo Was Born With Only 1 Kidney
Jul 17, 2008 Blogosphere, Celebrities, Singapore
Jamie Yeo, a famous local host of sport channel, was born with only 1 kidney. She revealed it in her blog. She wrote:
I’ve been following the ongoing controversy involving the legality of organ donation with much interest due partly to the fact that I have renal agenesis. It’s nothing serious. It just means I was born with a single kidney. The condition is actually quite common as it occurs in one out of 750 people. And even though there are no serious or fatal long-term problems for people with one kidney, I can’t help but empathize greatly with those who are in a situation where they need a kidney or an organ transplant because theirs isn’t working anymore. Obviously, my empathy arises from the fact that I’m in a rather precarious situation because unlike “normal” people, I don’t have another kidney to fall back on in case one fails.

Taken from KennySia:
| Xiaxue Vs Dawn Yang | Anwar Vs Najib |

| Xiaxue and Dawn Yang are two big time bloggers in Singapore. | Anwar and Najib are two big time politicians, both of whom are deputy prime ministers predicted to become Malaysia’s future Prime Minister. |
| Dawn Yang has a hate site, authored by Dawn Wayang. | Najib also has a hate site, authored by Raja Petra. |
| Xiaxue accused Dawn Yang of plastic surgery. | Anwar accused Najib of playing a role in the Altantuya murder case. |
| Dawn Yang vehemothly denied allegations of plastic surgery. | Najib vehemothly denied having ever met Altantuya. |
| Xiaxue insists on calling Dawn Yang a liar. | Anwar insists on calling Najib a liar. |
| Dawn Yang used her manager Noel to make Xiaxue shut up. | Najib used Saiful (or more accurately, Saiful’s ass) to make Anwar shut up. |
| Xiaxue refused to shut up. | Anwar refused to shut up. |
| Instead, Xiaxue used the increased publicity to introduce to everyone… Mr R! | Instead, Anwar used the increased publicity to introduce to everyone… Mr Balasubramaniam! |

Japan, The Top Blogging Nation
Jul 4, 2008 Blogosphere, Funny News
This is an interesting article from Japan Mainichi Daily News. I always thought that English is the dominant language on Internet and there should be more blogs in English than any other languages. But based on the report, I am wrong. There are more Japanese blogs than any other languages!
The number of Internet blogs in Japan stood at about 16.9 million as of January 2008, with about 20 percent of Japan’s 88.11 million Internet users involved in blogging, a survey by the Ministry of Internal Affairs and Communications has found.
The report also introduced the results of a survey by an American company that included deleted blogs. The number of blogs across the world totaled about 70 million, it was found. By language, Japanese topped the list, accounting for about 37 percent of all blogs. Second was English, at around 36 percent, while Chinese stood in third place at roughly 8 percent. The figures highlight the popularity of blogs in Japan.
Japan emerges as top Internet blogging country
Too bad I don’t understand Japanese. I guess there will be lots of interesting Japanese blogs there for us to enjoy.
Malaysia Today Hacked and Down?
Jul 2, 2008 Blogosphere, Gossips, Malaysia
Read this from NST: Raja Petra’s Malaysia Today website hacked and altered.
I tried accessing www.malaysia-today.net, nothing, it came out error. I saw someone posted a few other links like adding “/blog”, or “/2008″ at the back of the url. I tried but still failed.
Who knows what the new url is? Or the guys there are busy fixing the problem?
