It is not often we see this kind of goal. Luck plays a big part I will say.

Singapore vs Brazil LIVE Now! Current Score 0-2
Jul 28, 2008 Singapore, Soccer
I found out a bit late, but there is still a good 30 minutes to go. I am surprised that there is no coverage on Singapore national TV channels.
Anyway, I am watching the match HERE, now. Yes, it is in Brazilian, yes the image sucks, but it is better than nothing and I don’t pay a bloody $60 for the ticket you see.
Another Goondoo from STOMP
Jun 26, 2008 Gossips, Singapore, Soccer
This Sammy rants about his “disrupted live broadcast of Euro 2008 semifinal, Germany VS Turkey, early this morning”.
STOMPer Sammy was watching the Euro 2008 match, Germany vs Turkey, when the match was interrupted and this message appeared on the TV screen. The STOMPer was livid.
In his email to STOMP today (June 26), he wrote:
“I hate to see this on the TV again and again, especially when I was watching the match early this morning.
“I paid money to watch Euro but the transmission was lost.
“I feel that it is not a good excuse to say feed is inherent from source.”
Another STOMPer, Jackson, wrote in an email, regarding the disruption.
“The exciting end to end match between Germany and Turkey was disrupted several times and we miss at least two of the goals and the last goal the screen was stuck with the replay of Lahm celebrating the goal.
“It was suppose to be an eye opening exciting match as it ended 3 - 2 with the victory going to Germany at the last minute but we missed the Germans’ celebration and Turkey’s desperate fight back in injury time after the match as well and the animated players and managers at the end of the match.
“And most importantly, the goals and the best part of the match.
“Many football fans like me will most certainly have similar thoughts and feel gutted to miss out on the best part of the match, for those with Europass as well as those watching from the Preview channel.
“I am 100 percent sure that my complaint won’t be the last and hope that Starhub can provide better live telecast for the other Euro Semi Final between Russia and Spain and the Euro 2008 Final as well as the upcoming BPL matches, FA and Carling, Copa Del Rey matches and La Liga matches.”
STOMP is contacting Starhub.
Of course, as consumer, we can rant, complain. But, with valid reason and do our homeworks 1st lah. I know Stabhub Sports channels are like sh|t, but don’t just push every blame on Starhub.
The disruption was due to violent storms in Vienna, goondoo! It was disrupted right from the source. Nothing Starhub can help. Read the news report HERE. It is not Singapore only, most fans all over the world were affected.
People, don’t just sit there and complan only. Spend some time, surf some net, read some news, hang around in forums. Don’t be a frog in the well called Singapore. If Sammy spended some time in foreign forums, like those in China, Malaysia, he would have known that the fans there were also affected.
By the way Sammy, how much you lose in that game?

Things I Learnt From Manchester United’s Road To Double Champions Season 07/08
May 23, 2008 Soccer
Manchester United won English Premier League and European Champions League this year. They did a double. However, many had written Manchester United off as early as October last year when they started the season terribly. They only managed 3 wins 2 draws 1 loss, 11 out of 18 points in their 1st 6 English Premier League games. What’s worse was that there was basically no fit striker to use, only managed 10 goals in from the 1st 12 games, average 0.83 goal. However, Manchester United is determined enough to go through the down period and they bounced back everytime after every defeat from then on. And they went from stronger to stronger! At the end of the season, they have 39 wins 11 draws and 7 loss out of 57 games played, scored 110 goals (average 1.9) and only let in 33 (average 0.6).

Manchester United is the King of Europe!
May 22, 2008 Soccer
After Christiano Ronaldo headed in his 42nd goal of the season, Manchester United made it difficult for themselves by letting in a goal from Frank Lampard. After the goalless extra-time, Manchester United won the nerve-shredding penalty shoot out 6-5 over Chelsea. Ronaldo missed his, while John Terry and Nicholas Anelka missed for Chelsea. Manchester United made it double by winning EPL and Champion League championship.
