Marry A 2nd Wife And Get RM1000 Reward!
Nov 1, 2008 Malaysia, Stupid Stuffs
This is how Malaysia government takes care of its people:
MARRIED men in Malacca may receive RM1,000 from the state government if they choose to take poor, single mothers as second wives, reported Harian Metro.
The daily quoted Malacca Chief Minister Datuk Seri Mohd Ali Rustam, who made the proposal, as stressing that the incentive would be given on condition, among others, that the men do not divorce their first wives.
He said the move was not to encourage polygamy but to ease the burden of single mothers who are dependent on welfare aid from various parties.

Mouse Drops From Ceiling Onto Table At Food Republic, VivoCity
Oct 31, 2008 Singapore, Stupid Stuffs
Disgusting! It seems like there are lots of mouse in Singapore. Previously we saw mouse drop from ceiling at McDonald outlet. Then today same thing happened at Food Republic at VivoCity.
A mouse was seen to have fallen from the ceiling of Food Republic at Vivocity on Oct 29 and diners who encountered the rodent were given a full refund of their dinner.
Several diners spotted the rodent at the Food Republic foodcourt, and Shan, Eric and Keith were amongst those who saw it.
BreadTalk, which runs the food court, has since sent a pest control company to contain the rodent situation.
Recounted the contributors:
“A rodent dropped from the ceiling of Food Republic @ Vivocity on 29 Oct 2008 at about 7.55pm.
“It landed on a table occupied by 8 patrons, right next to a hotpot.
“The rat appeared to be dead initially, so some of the affected patrons started taking pictures of it to “gather evidence” while others looked for Food Republic staff for assistance.
“But the rodent started moving shortly afterwards. It hid under a stack of trays first, and then ran off before anyone could catch it. ”
STOMP has contacted BreadTalk for comment and a spokesman said:
“On the 29th of October, after we were notified of the incident, the customers affected (8 of them) were compensated with a full refund of their dinner. We contacted them immediately to apologize for the unpleasant experience.
“We take this issue very seriously and want to public to know that we are doing everything we possibly can to ensure that such incidents have a lesser chance of reoccurrence.
“We currently conduct daily sanitation and bi-weekly atrium pest control treatment; these measures will be stepped up.
“The pest control company was called in on the same night, where the field biologists accessed the situation and lay traps.
“Tonight they will do an inspection on the ceiling boards and treat the entire food atrium to ensure and track down any rodent infestation.
“The building management has been notified on the incident, while we are unable to pinpoint exactly the cause of this; we have found out that it is a type of rodent found commonly in gardens.
“Where Vivocity Food republic is located, the area is open and it could have come from anywhere.
“An official apology letter to express our sincere apologies has been sent to our customers.”
The mouse just love Singapore isn’t it?

Used Wife For Sale
Oct 31, 2008 Funny News, Stupid Stuffs
A Romanian man who had enough of his 25-year-old wife, has put his wife on sale on a Romanian website. He did this when his wife was abroad for work. Poor guy.
Man puts wife up for sale
A Romanian man has put his 25-year-old wife up for sale on a website specialising in used cars.
Alex Cretu, 20, who lives in Bucharest, hoped to get around £4m but has lowered his price to £3,000 for a quick sale.
His ad on www.okazii.ro reads: “Wife for sale. Model 1983, good condition. Full option, nice suspensions, spacious boot, second owner.
“Price is negotiable, comes with three-year-old and five-year-old accessories. Seriousness demanded.”
Alex says he placed his ad on the site partly because he had got fed up of his wife nagging him all of the time and partly as a joke.
He said he waited until his wife left for a job in Spain so as she wouldn’t know about the sale.
He had received a number of offers but none were acceptable so far as the potential purchasers either offered too low a price or wanted to buy her in installments.
I popped by the mentioned site, www.okazii.ro, and I wonder if he had put the ad in the Antique section……

Japanese Man Wants Marriage With Manga Characters Legalized
Oct 31, 2008 Funny News, Stupid Stuffs
Japanese man Taichi Takashita has started an online petition to establish a law permitting marriage to manga (Japanese comic) character. Surprisingly, more than 1000 had signed for the petition.
The on-line campaign for cartoon marriages was masterminded by Taichi Takashita who claimed he was motivated to pursue the unusual change in law because he felt more at ease in the “two dimensional world” than reality.
“I am no longer interested in three dimensions. I would even like to become a resident of the two-dimensional world,” he wrote.
The more I read, the more I feel sad for Taichi……

Letter To Agnes Lin, The Girl Who Has Never Runs Out Of Cash
Oct 29, 2008 Funny News, Singapore, Stupid Stuffs
Hi Agnes,
Too bad, I have always been running out of cash, so actually I don’t have much to tell you. I wish you luck, and I wish your family and future spouse TONNES and TONNES of LUCK!
And I really have to thank you for showing me how fortunate I am to have known the meaning of being INDEPENDENT since 18 and how wonderful my current girlfriend is.
Thanks.
Yours sincerely,
Jialat
To that “silly” friend: the silliest thing that you have ever done in your life time must be having to befriend with the girl who was interviewed by SPH reporter Nur Dianah Suhaimi
Mum & Dad will provide
For 20-year-old undergraduate Agnes Lin, the recession could just be academic.
The Nanyang Technological University first-year student has never been in need: She carries a $2,000 Louis Vuitton handbag to school and uses only Shiseido cosmetic and skincare products.
She carries around the latest mobile phone and goes on overseas vacations with her friends where she would bust $1,000 on shopping alone.
Twice monthly, she shops at her favourite stores - Topshop, Zara and Forever21.
Mum, a private tutor, and Dad, a businessman selling polythene bags, pay for her expenses.
Miss Lin is aware that Singapore faces a recession but the news does not bother her.
She said: ‘I think it is okay for me to maintain my current lifestyle. I may be spending a little bit more than my friends but I don’t think I’m overspending.’
At the moment, she has her eyes on the latest mobile phone in the market, the HTC Touch Pro, which costs about $700.
Although her mother has said ‘no’ to her buying yet another mobile phone, Ms Lin has an inkling she will still get it.
‘I think my mum will still buy it for me. My birthday is coming up!’ she said with a giggle. She confessed that since young, she has never run out of cash. Her parents give her money whenever she asks.
Since she was 16, her monthly pocket money has been $500.
She has an older brother, also an undergraduate. The family live in a four-room flat in Marine Parade.
She thinks a friend of hers, who is left with $20 to last until the end of the month, is silly to consider taking up a part-time job to earn some extra cash.
‘I don’t understand why she cannot just ask her parents for money,’ sighed Miss Lin.
She will enter the working world only after three years but she is already planning ahead.
With her first pay packet, she will buy a $4,000 Chanel bag. ‘After that, I will probably get more bags and watches,’ she added.
