It is Mr Michael Polakovs, who designed and acted as Ronald McDonald, right from the start. Rest in peace.
A habitual recipient of a pie in the face, Coco the Clown was a circus favorite who helped create another well-known clown, Ronald McDonald.
Michael Polakovs, who died Dec. 6 at age 86, honed his clown act for eight decades, including a lengthy stint at Ringling Bros. and Barnum & Bailey Circus. Clowning was the family business — the disheveled Coco persona was inherited from his father, a lifelong clown, and Mr. Polakovs’s son Graham has performed as Coco Jr. since the 1950s.
After a three-decade career as a circus clown in England, Mr. Polakovs came to the U.S. in 1959, and performed in the center ring at Ringling Bros. He led classic clown skits and paraded around the big-top’s hippodrome on 16-foot stilts. For several years, he also worked as an advance man for Ringling Bros., appearing in local and national media to garner publicity.
When McDonald’s Corp. decided to make Ronald McDonald its national spokesman, the company turned to Mr. Polakovs for advice. He designed Ronald’s clown-face features, chose the canary-yellow jumpsuit and gave him big red shoes and striped socks to reflect the colors of the restaurant. Mr. Polakovs went on to star as Ronald in the first national series of McDonald’s commercials, in 1966.

To put to rest all the online speculation about why he started filming his sexual conquests and posting them online for all and sundry to see, he confirmed that it was the betrayal of an ex-girlfriend that begun it all.
“I had a few serious relationships which I’ve spent about 10 years on,” our interviewee gestured.
“One of the hardest blows came from this sex video that I happened to see through her ex-boyfriend which happened overseas.”
“He sent me a link to a video in which my girlfriend was having sexual intercourse with another guy.”
Initially he “felt very down” and went clubbing. And whenever he has a chance, he’ll film the girls on bed with him. In the beginning it was for his personal pleasure.
But when he posted one or two videos on an amateur website and received positive comments, it led to him posting more.
Our interviewee claims he is ‘quite ethical’ as well.
“I don’t want to destroy anyone’s future – neither mine nor my partner’s.”
“Most of them are expatriates and are in the professional line. I don’t want to spoilt their image,” he added.
So does he really hate women that much? Did all these videos stem from a motive for revenge?

Indian Governor Resigns After 4-some Sex Scandal

AN 84-year-old Indian politician has resigned after a sex tape was broadcast allegedly showing him in bed with three women.
Narayan Dutt Tiwari, the Governor of Andhra Pradesh in south-east India, had maintained his innocence after the sex tape was aired a day ago on the news channel Andhra Jyothi.
He has now has bowed to pressure and resigned, the Indian Express reports.
A statement about his resignation was released today, barely a day after the Governor’s office dismissed the sex tape allegedly featuring him having sex in the company of three women as a “tissue of lies”.
A one-sentence statement said that Mr Tiwari — who took charge as Governor on August 19, 2007 — had submitted his resignation to President Pratibha Patil on “health grounds”.
Male Maid Cafe In Japan

All of the help at the Hibari-tei cafe in bustling Akihabara are dressed as maids, and they call the customers “master.” It’s pretty much like any other “maid cafe” in Tokyo’s electronics district, except for one small detail. All of them are male, wearing wigs to go along with their female uniforms.
Male “maid cafes” are growing more common, and books on how to dress like a woman are starting to hit store shelves. Men wearing skirts have also been seen in Tokyo’s Harajuku and Aoyama districts.
Behind this nascent trend, observers say, is that more men are beginning to enjoy dressing as a woman from a fashion viewpoint, and society is becoming more tolerant of the practice.
It was 2 1/2 years ago when the owner of Hibari-tei first used a male as a maid at another maid cafe he owns. It started when one of the regular waitresses quit. A male employee dressed up as a maid and tried to serve customers. The attempt proved popular among the customers, who enjoyed the odd experience.
The owner launched Hibari-tei in January 2008. About 60 percent of its customers are male.
“Men who are not used to being served by women can feel relaxed and talk to the ‘maids’ easily because they are male,” said Chaan Sarin, who heads the cafe’s waitstaff.
Before the cafe’s debut, more than 100 men applied for a maid position. After auditions narrowed the field, 15 made the cut and are still working there.
One of the maids, Reina, is in his 20s. During the week he goes to work in a business suit at an information technology company, but on weekends he serves at the maid cafe wearing a size 9 uniform, padded bra and fake nails.
At 165 cm tall and weighing 51 kg, he has a girlfriend, but she doesn’t know about his second job, he said.
“I become a totally different person to release my stress from work. I have the feelings of a man and I will quit once I get married,” he said.
More male fans are also dressing like their favorite female characters in “anime’ animation and computer games.
Cashing in on this trend, Osaka-based Yu-time Publishing released the book “Otokonoko no Tameno Henshin Gaido” (”Guide for Boys to Transform Themselves”) in October 2008.
The book, which comes with illustrations, explains various techniques so boys can look pretty, ranging from wearing makeup and choosing clothes to taking care of wigs and wearing pantyhose.
The book has been selling well, especially in Akihabara bookstores, inspiring the publisher to produce a second volume.
Meanwhile, Tokyo-based lingerie maker Wish has been selling bras for men since November last year. It says it sold more than 10,000 in the first year.
Junko Mitsuhashi, a lecturer at Tama University who wrote the book “Joso to Nihonjin” (”Disguising as Women and Japanese”), maintains that Japanese are becoming more tolerant toward men dressing as women.
“People’s values are growing more diverse, and Japanese people’s perception of masculinity has changed over the years,” she said. “People began to accept men dressed as women, saying it is OK as long as they are beautiful. At the same time, as there is more information nowadays on how to dress like women, men have gotten dramatically better at it.”

WARREN, Mich. – Diners at a metro Detroit restaurant got more than a full plate Sunday when a man walked in with a 5-inch knife in his chest.
Warren police said the 52-year-old man called 911 at about 10 p.m., saying he had been attacked in Warren but had just walked a mile to the Brayz’s Hamburgers in Hazel Park.
Restaurant employee George Mirdita said the man walked in, ordered a coffee and said he was waiting for an ambulance to come.
“It was like out of a movie,” Mirdita said. “It kind of freaked us all out here. Then, the customers realized it and they were all turning their heads in disgust.”
Police said the man told them he had been walking north on Warner Avenue near Eight Mile Road when another man approached him and demanded cash. The man told police that when he refused to hand over any cash, he was attacked and stabbed — the knife being shoved into the left side of chest all the way to the black plastic handle.
Police said the man tried to get help at a nearby apartment complex, but when he didn’t find any, he called 911 from a pay phone at Dequindre and Nine Mile roads.
“Yes ma’am, could uh … is it possible to send an ambulance here?” the man is heard saying to a 911 operator. “There’s a knife stuck in my chest.”
The man goes on to tell the operator he thinks it’s a steak knife.
Mirdita said he can’t believe how calm the man was, and that he never complained of being in any pain.
“To come in with something stuck in your chest and order a cup of coffee, and sit down … he was mingling with the guy next to him,” he said.
The man was treated and police said he is expected to be fine.
Police said the man described his attacker as someone who was tall, was wearing a hooded sweatshirt and had a goatee.

Some people spend weeks looking for the right Christmas tree. In Copenhagen, Danish scientists are mapping the genome of the conifer for the first time. They hope to use the data to breed the perfect Christmas tree.
Danish researcher Pär Ingvarsson had his Christmas tree a long time before Christmas. As always, it is a nice spruce tree. At Christmastime, the plant geneticist simply takes his research home. Ingvarsson’s goal is to map the genome of the humble Christmas tree.
A foundation has given Ingvarsson and his team €7 million to sequence the tree’s genome. If they are successful, it will be the world’s first decryption of a coniferous tree’s genetic make-up. Up until now only one other tree has had its DNA sequenced: the balsam poplar.
Married Premier League Manager Caught Visiting Brothel

A PREMIER League manager spent more than an hour in the company of hookers in a “Thai” vice den, The Sun can reveal.
And when confronted by our reporters as he left, the married boss smiled and shamelessly admitted he knew it was a brothel.
We watched as the football chief was driven to the “massage parlour” last week. He was still dressed in branded soccer training gear.
Creeping privacy laws in the UK, based on the Human Rights Act, mean we are barred from naming him.
The brothel he visited is on an industrial estate and has no signs to indicate the seedy goings on inside.
The manager stepped out of his car, pulled on an overcoat then walked in.
More than an hour passed before the brazen boss emerged with his mobile phone glued to his ear.
We confronted him and asked him to confirm his identity. He did – and smiled as he agreed he knew he had been in the company of hookers.
Asked if he knew the building was a brothel, the soccer boss smiled and replied: “Yes.”
Father Forced 14-Year-Old Son Into Sex With Prostitute
So as to make the son straight?
A ROCKHAMPTON dad is accused of forcing his son to have sex with a prostitute because he feared the 14-year-old was gay.
During a family barbecue around Christmas time in 2007, the dad allegedly phoned a prostitute and arranged to meet her at a motel on Yaamba Road, North Rockhampton.
The father drove his son to the motel and paid the prostitute in $50 notes.
The prostitute took the boy into a motel room while the father waited on a balcony.
The dad walked in and out of the room to check on his son and told him he wanted to see a used condom as proof that they’d had sex. After the boy and the prostitute had finished the dad took his son home.
A magistrate yesterday found there was enough evidence against the father for him to stand trial for the rape of his son.
Giving evidence during the committal hearing in Rockhampton Magistrates Court, the boy’s mother testified she questioned the youngster about where his father had taken him.
“First (he) didn’t want to say anything to me. Then he told me his father took him to a motel room and there was a prostitute there,” the mother said.
“He wouldn’t talk, he just started crying.”
Police first became aware of the alleged rape when the father phoned the Child Protection Investigation Unit on May 5, 2008.
Detective Sergeant Christine Knapp answered the phone call, during which the father allegedly accused police of not acting on suspicions that his 14-year-old son was “abusing” his younger brother.
The dad allegedly told police he had “tried to sort it out himself by taking (his son) to a prostitute”.
Sergeant Knapp said she warned the father over the phone before driving to the family’s home and speaking with the mother and child.
The prostitute alleged to have had sex with the teenager has never been located.
Sergeant Knapp said she tracked the father’s mobile phone calls to trace the prostitute’s number, but without knowing a date of the alleged offence she could not track the woman down.
The prostitute was described to police as being about 28-years-old, tall and skinny with tanned skin and dark, long hair.
Sergeant Knapp said the teenage boy appeared to be quite embarrassed when he was asked by police about the rape.
A date will be set in the new year for the matters to be heard in a higher court.
