The police of Russia’s Saratov region are investigating a bizarre death of a newborn girl. Most likely, the baby girl was killed by her own sister, who was just three years old. The tragedy happened while the parents of the two girls were sleeping.
Forensic experts have already determined that the little girl had died a violent death, the Komsomolskaya Pravda newspaper wrote.
The victim was only 22 days old. The baby arrived at the hospital of the town of Engels, the Saratov region, in a critical condition. Paramedics were horrified to find bites and bruises all over the child’s body.
Medics took lifesaving efforts, but four hours of struggle for the girl’s life did not help. A forensic expert said that the baby died of a closed cranial injury and a blunt head trauma. It looked like someone was slamming the child’s head onto the floor.
A pathologist later determined that the bites had been made by a three-year-old baby, the victim’s own sister.
The mother of the killed child told the police that she and her husband had drunk alcohol together and fallen asleep. When they woke up, they saw the elder girl playing with her little sister on the floor. The baby was not moving, nor was she showing any reaction to anything. The woman called the ambulance.
Most likely, the suspected killer perceived her baby sister as a doll, not as a human being, the police believe. The little child was most likely screaming during the awful game, but the parents did not hear anything while sleeping.
An expert said that the girl might have killed the baby deliberately, out of jealousy, since the parents started paying more attention to her after birth.

Sergievsky district court in the Samara region convicted Sergey Gavrilov, a local resident, who murdered and ate his own mother. The criminal had been eating the corpse for a month since he had no means of sustenance after her death. He was sentenced to 14 years and three months of imprisonment in a high security prison, wrote Trud newspaper referring to a local court.
According to the case papers, a neighborhood police officer came to Gavrilov’s apartment to conduct a search regarding the theft of a cell phone committed by Gavrilov. By that time, 27-year old Gavrilov had been tried four times.
The policeman entered into a dingy, messy apartment with purple walls. On the balcony, he found a stiff female corpse without legs.
Later the police discovered that the legs had been eaten. The scene was so horrifying that even experienced investigators shudder when they think of it, Komsomolskaya Pravda wrote.
55-year old Lyubov Gavrilova went missing a month before the corpse was discovered. The woman’s relatives were worried, but Sergey calmed them down telling them that Lyudmila was in a hospital. The relatives called all local hospitals but could not find the woman.
The habitual criminal later told the investigators that his mother received her pension on January 11. He asked her to give him money for beer since he just came out of prison and had no money. When his mother refused, Gavrilov hit her with a brick in the head and then strangled her with a power cord. He then took the corpse to the balcony and covered it with rags.
Gavrilov spent the victim’s pension in a couple of days on booze and gambling machines. Two weeks later he had nothing to eat. It was well below freezing outside and his mother’s corpse was well preserved on the balcony. Every day he would cut a piece of her legs and cooke soups and pasta sauces.
When the police officer found the corpse, Gavrilov admitted to the murder immediately. “I didn’t like the meat. It was too fatty,” he told to the investigators.
A psychiatric examination ruled him sane. The Russian Criminal Code suggests 15 years of imprisonment for similar crimes. However, Gavrilov’s punishment was mitigated because he pleaded guilty.
State prosecution incriminated him with cannibalism as well, but the court ruled that the criminal ate his mother out of hunger only, and therefore, could not be charged with cannibalism.

The police of Russia’s Perm region solved the brutal murder of a homeless man, slaughtered by three of his own friends. The criminals ate a part of the corpse and sold the rest to a kebab kiosk.
Forensic experts have taken samples of the suspicious meat to find out if the kiosk was selling kebabs made of human meat.
The homeless men were living in dug-outs in the woods near the city of Perm. Three men attacked and brutally beat their 25-year-old friend, hit him with a hammer several times and stabbed him. The man died of injuries on the spot, the Komsomolskaya Pravda newspaper wrote.
The murderers dismembered the body and then buried the upper part of the corpse near their dugouts. They saved the lower part of the corpse and made a dinner from it for the whole “family.” When the cannibals were stuffed, they sold the rest of the meat to the nearest kebab kiosk.
The detained men said that they had killed the man out of jealousy. One of the detainees said that the victim was trying to steal his girlfriend from him.

Sasha Pekhtelev, a 13-year-old boy weighing 180 kilos (396.8 lbs), was delivered to a hospital in the city of Volgograd on Friday afternoon. The boy began to suffocate and had swollen legs: he could not get up from his bed for seven days.
Paramedics had to call a rescue squad to help them take the boy out of the apartment building. Sasha was hospitalized to the intensive care unit of the city’s children’s hospital.
The boy has Prader Willi Syndrome (PWS) – a rare genetic disorder. Doctors also believe that the boy most likely has diabetes.
The boy’s grandmother, Vera Konovalova, said that the boy’s health worsened after “Let Them Talk” talk show on TV, which was devoted to him.
“Sasha is a clever boy. He started crying when he was watching the show because the woman in the TV was lying, as he said. We often go out, his teacher visits him all the time, but they said on the show that the boy was not going anywhere out. They also said there that he does not have any friends and no one takes care of him. This is not true,” the woman said.
Medics have a different opinion.
“Sasha Pehtelev currently stays in the intensive care unit of the hospital because there is no bed in the entire building that would suit a person with his weight. He is in a stable condition.
