Indonesian Hacker Attacker Malaysia Government Website

Due to some stupid argument recently.

PETALING JAYA: The website of the National Institute of Public Administration (Intan) has suffered a cyber attack believed to be by Indonesian hackers.

The website is believed to have been inactive since Monday, 6.54pm as shown on its cached version when checked yesterday.

It had also been violated with profanity.

A minute after the website was accessed, a green cursor trail will appear on the page stating that it had been “hacked by vires-kucrit”.

This is followed by a pop-up referring to the National Day celebration albeit in obscene language.

Calls for comments from the Intan public relations officer or its director Datuk Dr Muhamad Hamzah went unanswered.

This one is even more stupid, attacked a blogpot site of a Toaist temple.

GEORGE TOWN: The blog of a 120-year-old Taoist temple here has become a victim of a cyber attack by a person claiming to be an Indonesian hacker.

The hacking of the Poh Hock Seah Temple’s blog, pohhockseah.blogspot.com, was believed to have been done even before the cyber attack on the National Institute of Public Administration’s (Intan) website, also believed to be by Indonesians.

Poh Hock Seah president Datuk Lim Chooi Beng said the temple committee came to know about the cyber attack on Sunday when the hacker altered their webmaster’s password and answered to their “secret questions”.

“The site was also violated with profanities and the hacker threatened to go after the accounts of all Malaysians,” he told a press conference at the temple on Armenian Street here yesterday after announcing the grand Tua Pek Kong (God of Prosperity) birthday celebration to be held from Sept 30 to Oct 2 in conjunction with the temple’s 120th anniversary.

Porn Film Giant Comes Under Fire

No condom used, this is serious.

The porn film industry has come under fire from Aids campaigners, who have filed a complaint against adult entertainment mogul Larry Flynt.

The Aids Healthcare Foundation (AHF) has submitted an official complaint in California because Flynt’s actors are not required to use condoms.

AHF president Michael Weinstein said it was “our duty to pursue action on the issue of safety in the workplace”.

A spokesman for Mr Flynt said he delivered “what the consumer wants”.

Michael Klein, president of Larry Flynt Productions, said: “We won’t budge when it comes to condomless productions.”

Federal law requires that all porn actors are tested for HIV 30 days before the start of filming.

Mr Klein said the company adhered to those standards and that none of the actors they used had ever tested positive.

The AHF said it had studied 100 films made by Mr Flynt’s company and a condom was seen to be used in one single scene.

It said the movies demonstrated unsafe, “potentially life-threatening” behaviour.

Red Waterfall

It is in Canada. It is not photoshot-ed.

Waterton Lakes, where the falls are located, has some of the oldest sedimentary rock in the Canadian Rockies, with stone dated from 1,500 million years ago.

Rochelle said: ‘Earlier in the day there was a very heavy rain fall, which isn’t uncommon, but the conditions must have been just right to bring down that much sediment.

‘We decided to go for a drive and see just how much damage the storm had caused.

‘We make that drive hundreds of times a year and we had always seen this crystal clear water.

‘But this particular evening, I was shocked to see the creek tomato soup red. My husband suggested we go back down and check the falls.

Woman Breaks World Fastest SMS Record

Melissa Thompson, 25 words message in 25.94s, real fast!

A Salford woman has laid claim to the title of the world’s fastest texter.

Melissa Thompson was invited to have a go at speed-texting at a promotional stand in the Lowry Outlet Mall on the Quays.

She tapped out a complicated 25 word message in an impressive 25.94 seconds, beating the present world record by just under ten seconds.

She said that the idea of holding a world record was “completely overwhelming”.

Melissa, who was out shopping with her partner when she attempted the record, admitted that she was a regular texter, but said that she was out of practice.

“I used to do a hell of a lot [of texting], but it’s died down recently,” she explained.

“But clearly, I’ve not lost any of it.”

To try for the world record, Melissa had to type a complex message, which she described as being “quite long-winded and with plenty of big words”, as quickly as possible without mistakes.

Her words were a fitting description for the text, which read ‘The razor-toothed piranhas of the genera Serrasalmus and Pygocentrus are the most ferocious freshwater fish in the world. In reality they seldom attack a human.’

It’s the same sentence that the current holder of the title of world’s fastest texter, Franklin Page from Seattle in America, typed out in 35.54 seconds in March this year.

Both Melissa’s and Franklin’s times were recorded using touch screen text inputting software which allows the user to input whole words, letter by letter, without taking their finger off their mobile phone.

Melissa said that the possibility of being the world’s fastest texter was “overwhelming”, but that her friends and family had been keeping her feet on the ground in the usual manner.

“They’ve been winding me up, more than anything, all day.”

“In work, I got in this morning and they were all cheering and they had all the cut-outs from the papers.

“My team leader has just been joking all day, saying that my computer skills should be better than my texting skills.”

Melissa explained she had only taken part because the mobile phone company staff had asked her to, but with speed-texting now having a world championship , she said she’d love to have a go at an international level.

“To be honest, I never thought I’d win this one,” she said.

“They just said ‘you should try it’, so I did. I never thought anything like this would come of it at all.”

Guinness World Records have now been notified of Melissa’s claim.

It’s just a matter of time before she finds out whether she really is ‘the world’s fastest texter.’

When To Book Air Ticket?

The economist said, 8 weeks before the trip.

Help is at hand. An economist, Makoto Watanabe, has calculated that the optimum time to buy an airline ticket is eight weeks in advance of flying.

His yet-to-be-published findings also suggests that airline tickets are cheaper when purchased in the afternoons, rather than the mornings, prompting him to speculate that airlines are assuming business travellers will book their tickets at work in the morning on the company account, whereas leisure travellers are more likely to book from home in the afternoon.

The eight-week result stems from work published in the latest edition of the Economic Journal in which Watanabe and his colleague, Marc Möller, offer intimidating equations such as ∏A = gUG + min(k – g, (1 – g)(1 – r)) as part of the complex formula, where ∏ equals profit, that determines advance ticket purchases.

The economists write: “When we book our flight to London weeks ahead we have to account for the possibility of unforeseen events which make our trip to London impossible. In order to make consumers take their chances, airlines have to offer advance purchase discounts. As a consequence, ticket prices increase as the travel date approaches.”

Conversely, fans of long-running West End musicals know they can often pick up cheap tickets if they leave their purchases to the last minute.
