No-one said the quest for eternal youth was going to be easy but, really, does it have to be quite so off-putting? The latest bizarre beauty treatment to hit the United States is the “sperm” facial.

A Norwegian company, aptly named Bioforskning, has synthesised a compound found in the little swimmers and claims the resulting concoction is the ultimate new wrinkle-busting antioxidant. The formula is the foundation for the latest “in” treatment, stateside.

The company has synthesised spermine, an organic compound found in sperm, and used it as an ingredient in its SkinScience range of serums, skin creams and eye creams. New York magazine reports New York City’s Townhouse Spa offers spermine treatments, where the cream is slathered over skin then ultrasound and infrared light is used to help the product penetrate the lipid barrier.

DIY diet helps Natasha Suliman slim dwon from 89kg to 51kg within a year.

A B&Q worker who once weighed 14 stone and was a size 18 is pursuing a place in the Miss World contest after shedding nearly six stone.

Natasha Suliman, 22, put herself on a DIY diet of fruit and vegetables along with plenty of exercise.

She slimmed down to eight and a half stone and had to buy a whole new wardrobe of size 8 clothes.

Miss Suliman’s bosses at the DIY store in Llanelli, West Wales, thought she could be another type of B&Q, a Beauty Queen, and put her forward for the Miss Carmarthenshire contest, which she duly won.

The victory puts her through to next month’s final of Miss Wales in Cardiff, where a win would see her have a shot at being crowned Miss World.

So impressed were B&Q that they signed her up for their latest TV advertising campaign.

A two-year-old girl has been found to have an IQ of 160, making her among the top 0.03 per cent of the population in Britain.

Karina Oakley was asked to question numbers and complete challenges in several different categories, including verbal ability, memory, handling a pencil and numbers and shapes.

Some of the answers showed a “wonderful imagination”, according to Prof Joan Freeman, the child psychologist who used the Stanford-Binet IQ intelligence test.

When asked, ‘What do you use your eyes for?’ Karina answered: ‘You close them when you go to sleep’ and then also said: ‘You put your contact lenses in them’.

Karina, from Guildford, Surrey, has an IQ 60 points above the mean for the population.

All the average girls out there, you’ve got HOPE!

It is a finding that will quicken the hearts of size 14 women everywhere, true Australian gentlemen prefer Miss Average over the perfect centrefold.

Men find the homely shape of the girl-next-door more appealing than the ‘perfect’ proportions of models and centrefolds, a study found.

The study, taken by the University of NSW found the most attractive of all is Miss Average – a 5ft 4in female with a 30in waist and 40in hips who wears a size 14.

Oxford-based student charity TravelAid has produced a naked calendar with the aim of raising money for projects in the developing world.

Oxford Undressed features shots of naked students with their modesty preserved by typical Oxonian adornments such as books and mortar boards.

The calendar features classic images such as punting on the Cherwell, string quartet in the Holywell music room and trashing on New College Lane, and will be on sale for £10.

Catherine Little, the charity coordinator said, “TravelAid is expanding both in the developing world and out to different universities across the UK, and this calendar is part of our fund-raising ethic which promotes development through enterprise.” The initiative follows a similar calendar that raised over £2000 to buy a school bus in Nepal two years ago.

So fast, it is June now and PC Show 2009 started. I don’t think I will go down this time because I have nothing to buy, and I really don’t wanna squeeze with people this time round. I will try to avoid Suntec area over the weekend as well.

There is a thread in a famous Malaysian forum, Cari.com.my (佳礼论坛) that triggered heated discussions, or bashing of Singaporean drivers among the forumers.

A forumer ahlong7788 had posted 2 photos he took at the carpark of Bukit Indah Jusco (at Johor Bahru). The photos showed 2 Singapore-registered cars park in parking lots that are reserved for disabled customers. There is a board beside the lots stating clearly that those are for disabled customers only. The lots are purposely painted in blue colour as well. These Singaporeans do not seem to understand English. There were still a lot of parking lots available when I was there. They did it for their own convenience sake only. They are so selfish.

Lots of forumers joined in the fun of bashing Singaporeans. The same photos and topics were subsequently posted in another Johor Bahru based forum, JBTalk.cc. It attracted lots of discussion as well. Just to quote a few:

Singaporeans should feel ashamed of this.

they like to anyhow do things when they come into JB. I look down on them.

Of cause, there are still netizens who are rationale. They raised a few points that are worth mentioning:

the drivers or car owners may not be Singaporeans. They may be Malaysians who who in Singapore but are living in JB.

The black Proton Iswara at the background in the 1st photo is a Malaysia-registered car.

the thread starter should actually focus on this irresponsible behaviour itself, rather than the nationalities of the person who did that. It doesn’t matter where the drivers come from. Such action must be condemn regardless the nationalities of the drivers.

Threadstarter ahlong7788 accepted advice from other forumers, changed the contents to “these people can’t read English? Really Irresponsible behaviour” later on.

Actually, if you look at the photos carefully, there is a contact number stated on the board for people to contact the management for assistance. A more proper way for ahlong7788 to do maybe should be calling the management immediately and let them settle that. The management may cramp the vehicles, or make public announcement requesting car owners to remove their vehicles, or totally bochap (take no action). Either way, there is immediate effect. Much better than now, all the talks, but no action. The lots are still taken.

This is something interesting I saw on STOMP, Rude property agent: Sends obscene SMS about client’s mum, calls another an idiot. It is about a STOMPer Jason, and Tan complained about their bad experience with a property agent who send text message with vulgar language to him, calling him idiot. Being a kaypoh, I did a Google search on the number in the photos. Some of the results showed that the name of the agent using this mobile number is “Ricky” (actually someone did so and commented in the STOMP post). But what caught my attention is this very 1st search result:

Or, can it be a sabotage case. I’m not trying to make any conclusion here, just showing what I have found.
