It sounds crazy! In case if you want to add him as a friend on Facebook, Craig Lazie Lynch is here……

Craig “Lazie” Lynch vanished from Hollesley Bay Prison in Suffolk in September this year close to the end of a seven-year sentence for aggravated burglary.

Instead of hiding away from police Lynch has set up a Facebook account complete with a photograph sticking his middle finger up and boasts about eating 12lb steaks and his home being so warm it feels like the Caribbean.

The burglar has become prolific Facebooker with 199 friends and has even posted when he is going round to friend’s homes and attending parties and events.

In a status update via mobile phone on Monday, Lynch said: “Craig ‘Lazie’ Lynch just had bundles of fun on the ice in me motor. Pure a— out action, but well controlled.”

In another at the weekend he said: “Craig ‘Lazie’ Lynch just nearly wrote my motor off again. Ice everywhere I went round the corner and ended up halfway on someone’s driveway!!”

While Lynch should be doing porridge he boasted about tucking into extravagant meals: “Craig ‘Lazie’ Lynch mmm I just had a 12lb venison steak. Roasted veg and chips, bangin meal.”

And instead of languishing in a prison cell he taunted police by saying his home is so warm it is tropical.

What the world has become nowadays?

A fourteen-year old teenager had conflicts with her mother and stepfather as they did not let her live the way she wanted. It is a common problem for teenagers, but the girl decided to solve hers in the most radical way.

She complained about the conflict to her 19-year old boyfriend Isaev, a vocational school student. She told him she wanted to get rid of them both and asked him to find an “executor.” She promised to pay 45,000 rubles ($1,500) for the “job.”

“She did not have this kind of money, but was hoping her stepfather had it and she would pay after the fact,” Galina Gagalaeva, senior assistant to the director of the regional investigative department press service, told to Pravda.ru.

Isaev hired a 16-year old high school student to do the job.

The three of them devised the murder plan together. “The girl was the most active. She gave her friends a knife and an axe,” Gagalaeva explained.

Of course I didn’t win any prize. To be honest, I was the last few to arrive at the last pit stop……

It was basically raining whole day. The game started with an email from the organizer at 1pm sharp. The email said:

I never heard of Banda Street CC. But a simple Google search shows me that it was actually current Kreta Ayer CC. I only knew it was located around Chinatown area. No worries, M20 would lead me there! So my quest started, with bus and MRT…… Actually I was not very slow or late when reached the 1st pit stop. I saw lots of people there, either filling their indemnity forms or struggling with their challenges.

The 2nd clue was trickier, but immediately I knew that it was Mint Museum of Toys. Same thing, I didn’t know where exactly is this museum, and I needed help from M20. By the time I reached there, a lot of participants were busy fixing their puzzles quest. That was the challenge of this pit stop.

I was never good at puzzle, never…… Finally, I got my 3rd clue. This one really got me crazy! What “semi circular terrace”? What Alkaff Mansion? I was really caught by surprise. Even though I could figure out the location of Alkaff Mansion which was at Telok Blangah Green, still, I didn’t have any idea on how I could go about finding the pit stop! I have never been to that place nor I have ever heard of it.

The pit stop was on top of the staircase……

Ended already……

By the time I reached there, I was told by the game helpers that they already closed for the day, all the prizes had been claimed….. So disappointed! I was told that the person who won the Maldives tickets actually hired a cab to drive him all the way. Smart guy you are! And good investment……

I requested to know the other 2 locations of pit stop. I decided to pop over “see see look look” though the game already ended, nothing left for me…… This is the final stop, Fort Canning Centre. The other stop is Red Dot Museum. I didn’t take any photo over there though.

1 lesson learnt: It is very important to have your own transport if you are going to take part in this kind of game, or invest a bit of money to rent a vehicle or hire a cab like the 1st prize winner. Am I going to take part again next year, if there is? Of course, but be smarter!

Do you encounter any problem after upgrading to Wordpress 2.9? Seems like, this upgrade is a wrong move for me.

I had no problem during the upgrading from 2.8.6 to 2.9. It was very smooth. And, I actually didn’t notice any problem immediately right after that. But I found something not right days after.

My daily backup is not working. I am using wp-db-backup plugin to back up my blog post, daily. Once the backup is completed, the file will actually be sent to my email. I noticed that there was no backup coming in via email for many days. Asking for help in the author’s forum doesn’t help.

Also, I found that Ping is not working. My new blog post is not ping-ing to Ping.sg like it used to do. It happened only after upgrading to Wordpress 2.9.

After few days of finding, and waiting for fixes, I gave up. I have downgraded Jialat.com back to Wordpress 2.8.6.

Twelve Northumbrian Water workers from around the region have bared all for a charity calendar, with only a selection of strategically-placed props to preserve their modesty!

Five hundred copies of the ‘Men in Hats’ 2010 calendar, priced at £3 each, have been produced to raise £1,500 for Samaritans Durham, which offers 24 hour emotional support for anyone experiencing feelings of distress or despair, including those which may lead to suicide.

The calendar has been photographed in the style of the original Women’s Institute Calendar Girls, with props including a shower cap and rubber duck, cycling helmet and bike, santa hat and giftwrap and a chef’s hat and utensils!

The twelve blushing boys featured are estates technician Paul Sinclair of North Shields, customer advisor Chris Duke of Chester le Street, facilities assistant Peter Lowther of Bishop Auckland, facilities manager Dave Whiteley of Tynemouth, customer advisor David Walker of Sedgefield, marketing co-ordinator Thomas Baker of Durham, technician strategy manager Eric Styan of Newcastle upon Tyne, senior HR business analyst Neil Robson of Durham, health and safety advisor Peter Sheldon of Great Lumley, applications team leader Lee Gallon of Washington, Tyne & Wear, legal executive Chris Doyle of Cramlington and customer advisor Gareth Thraves of Gateshead.

Although we’ve been bombarded with girl groups this year, this definitely doesn’t sound like your average rookie group.

It turns out that four of the anchorwomen who worked for the short-lived news channel, Naked News Korea, have been recruited to form a girl group called the Naked Girls. Predictably, these girls will only be suitable to the 18+ age group, since their performances are expected to be highly provocative. The Naked Girls will reportedly start a generation of a brand new genre of stages called “sexycal” – a combination word of “sexy” and “musical.”

A representative stated on the 22nd,

“We have gathered Minkyung, Jaekyung, Hyeji and Taehee to form this girl group, and will officially debut under the name Naked Girls in January next year. Their performances will be composed of inappropriate songs and choreography, definitely not suitable for youth. The girls’ activities will be focused more on musicals rather than national television.”
