Kumiko Ogura (小椋久美子) and Reiko Shiota (潮田玲子) are one of the top female badminton double pairs in Japan badminton national team. Their current world ranking is world no 9.

This popular pair is affectionately known throughout Japan as “Ogu-Shio.” Even while being interviewed, Kumiko Ogura and Reiko Shiota displayed the teamwork and coordination that make them such a great women’s badminton doubles team.

Kumiko Ogura—Profile

Born July 5, 1983 in Mie Prefecture. Height 171 cm, blood type A. Graduated from Shitennoji High School and joined Sanyo Electric Co. Started playing badminton at eight years old, encouraged by her elder sister. In 2001, took second place in the All Japan High School Badminton Competition (singles), and in 2002 won the All Japan Badminton Championship (singles). Since 2002, plays as a pair with Shiota. Best known for powerful smashes from the back of the court (initial speed: 260km/h) and for prowess as a receiver. Nickname “Ogucchi.”

Reiko Shiota—Profile

Born September 30, 1983 in Fukuoka Prefecture. Height 166 cm, blood type A. Graduated from Kyushu International University Girls High School and joined Sanyo Electric Co. Started playing badminton at the age of six in a well-known club. In 1998 won the All Japan Junior High School Badminton Championship (singles). In 2000, won the All Japan Junior Championship. Since 2002, plays as a pair with Ogura. Reads the flow of each game calmly, directing the shuttle wherever she wants it to go. Nickname “Rei”/”Rei-chan.”

When love is gone……

Of cause you ask for your money back. I do not understand why they guys have to mention Olympic. Does this relevant? It is still 4 months away. Or they prefer the man to do this 2 weeks before Olympic? If she is so concerned, she should immediately settle that property and car issues right after the break off.

So there is one more excuse if she cannot make it in Beijing this year, right?
