The Singapore Dumbest Robber Award Goes To……
May 8, 2008 Funny News, Singapore, Stupid Stuffs
If there is such award, this robber would be at least on the top 3, if not the 1st.
He wanted to pah qiu (”to rob” in Hokkien), fine. He chose a 7-11 store to pah qiu, fine. He used handkerchief to cover his face so that people could not recognize him, fine. He threatened the storekeeper with a knife, fine. He ransacked the store, fine.
But, he pah qiu in the middle of the day? Broad daylight in the afternoon? Dumb! He robbed the 7-11 store in the busy Bradell MRT station? Dumb! (OK, maybe he thought that the CCTV in the store and the MRT station were not functioning just like those in Whitley Detention Centre and MRT station where people commited suicide) He used handkerchief to cover face, but he put on the handkerchief just outside the store and passerby actually saw him! Dumb! He threatened the storekeeper but let him sneaked out of the store while he enjoyed ransacking? Dumb! And he didn’t realized that the storekeeper had locked up the glass door from outside and police were called? Dumb! His show in the locked-from-outside 7-11 store was watched by the public, dumb! And finally he refused to give up his knife when police tried to persuade him, and then zapped by the Taser stun gun, dumb!
Will there be another robber in Singapore dumber than this one?
