After I read this piece of news from Mainichi Daily News, I was kind of laughing inside my heart.
China becomes biggest buyer of Japanese products
Actually it is nothing special, funny about this news. Just China becomes Japan goods largest importer.
But thing is, we always hear, see, read about how China PRC people hate the Japanese. They hate Japanese for what the Japs had done to China in the WW2. And worse thing is the Japs are denying many of the facts.
So, why the PRC are still buying Japanese goods now? I thought I always heard the PRC want to boycott Japanese stuffs? And now?
Maybe, the PRC want to buy all the goods in Japan, so that the Japanese themselves have nothing to use in their own country? Then the Japs would suffer……Muahahaha
Illegal Immigrant Overstayed In Singapore Uncaught For 12 Years?

I feel sorry for the Zhang family. It is such a tragedy to them. However, what surprised me is
HE overstayed in Singapore for 12 long years and then found himself in a dilemma.

Madam Hong said she came to Singapore on a social visit pass in 2003, and stayed on illegally to work as a cleaner.
‘I wanted to spend more time with him because we had been apart for so long,’ she said.
She returned home four years later to take care of her children, but not before she spent 21 days in jail here as an overstayer.
Holy shit! 12 years and 4 years? I thought Singapore government and authority are very strict and efficient in this area? Should I compliment the late Mr Zhang for being so good at hiding? Or should I condemn the relevant authority for being complacent? Maybe they are only good at catching those standing along Geylang lorong selling their bodies.

Beijing Olympic Opening Ceremony Appearance Order, Singapore at 189th

This time, China want to make the opening ceremony special, so the order of countries entering the stadium will be special as well (They have already made 5 mascots instead of the usual 1, this is special enough). Beijing Olympic will not follow the traditional alphabetical order (a, b, c, d, …), but stroke count with the Simplified Chinese characters. For example, Singapore in Simplified Chinese characters is “新加坡”, and “新” is 13 strokes, while Malaysia in Simplified Chinese characters is “马来西亚”, “马” got 3 strokes. So Malaysia will be the very very first few countries to enter while Singapore will be quite at the back. You can visit HERE to know more about the opening ceremony.
As for the order of appearance, traditionally, Greece will be the 1st to enter while the host (China) will be the last. Then, according to THIS website, Guinea is 2nd, Guinea-Bissau (where the hell in the world is this country?) is 3rd, the rest of the top 10 is Turkey, Turkmenistan, Yemen, Maldives, Malta, Madagascar and MALAYSIA. Malaysia just makes it to the top 10, kekeke. I wonder how about the medal tally? For the rest of the countries, Japan 22nd, Canada 61st, Great Britain 116th, France 124th, Russia 138th, USA 140th, SINGAPORE 189th. Australia is 203rd. Zambia is the last at 204th before the host China.

Ugly Singaporean Uncle Asked Waitress To Compensate 300 RMB

A Zaobao reader, 蓝俊显, has wrote in to Zaobao to tell an incident happened during his precious trip to Tibet.
It was during mid July. His group is the very 1st few groups which is allowed to enter Tibet after the 314 protest. Therefore, all the parties in Tibet is doing their very best to please the group.
After the group visited Potala Palace, they had their lunch in a restaurant in the Lhasa city. The tour guide had informed the restaurant to avoid beef because there were Buddhists in the group. However, there was still a plate of fried beef served. An uncle, who is in his sixties, couldn’t tell that it was beef, and started eating. He made a fuss after a friend told him that it was beef. The restaurant manager and waitress both came to apologize but he refused to accept it. Then he told the poor waitress that, he had eaten 3 pieces of beef, so she had to compensate him with 300 RMB. Helplessly, the waitress took out 300 RMB and gave to that uncle. The uncle then said that fortunately he “just ate 3 pieces but not 5″, if not she had to compensate 500 RMB.
Another member in the same table suggested that he donate the money to charity. The uncle replied that he deserved the money, why must he donate it?
The China tour guide was so irritated by this uncle that he wrote about the incident in his blog, and commented that he has had encounters with Singaporeans for close to 10 years, this one is the most irritating one.
I wonder if Buddha will 保佑 this kind of “devoted” Buddhist or not?
