Dr Sun Yat-Sen Is Of Korean Descent?

Previously, there was a report claiming Sakyamuni to be Korean. Now, it is Dr Sun Yat-Sen who is said to be descent of Korean.

Recently, it is being hotly discussed in many China forums that, a research report from Korea has claimed Dr Sun Yat-Sen to be descent of Korean. The research was done by a professor in historical science, named 朴芬庆 (I couldn’t find any English name of this person), from Sungkyunkwan University. According to his/her research, during B.C 1000 period, there were a group of ancient Korean who lived around Jeju Island area, the very south of peninsular of Korea. This group of ancient Korean ever helped the king of Zhou dynasty in a war and they did well. The king of Zhou dynasty rewarded this group of people with lands at the Sun (孙) area, and the leader of the of people was called 孙伯. It means the leader of the Sun area. Therefore, Sun (孙) became a surname in ancient China. And so, he concluded that Dr Sun Yat-Sen is Korean’s descent.

It is said that the research was reported by The Chosun Ilbo. However, I searched through both Chosun Ilbo Chinese and English sites, and I couldn’t find any relevant news. So, I seriously don’t know if this is a genuine news.
