Don’t Cheat, Even If Your Wife Is Tech Noob
Nov 20, 2008 Funny News
A wife found some “naughty” photos in her husband’s iPhone, attached to email intended for a lady. The husband explained to her that it was a “fault” of iPhone that it would attach photos to email by itself, but was never sent out. He thought his wife a noob who knows nothing about iPhone. He was true… to certain extend… The wife, known as Susan042764, posted a message in Apple Support Forum asking for help:
Please help! I took my husband’s i-phone and found a raunchy picture of him attached to an e-mail to a woman in his sent e-mail file (a Yahoo account). When I approached him about this (I think that he is cheating on me) he admitted that he took the picture but says that he never sent it to anyone. He claims that he went to the Genius Bar at the local Apple store and they told him that it is an i-phone glitch: that photos sometimes automatically attach themselves to an e-mail address and appear in the sent folder, even though no e-mail was ever sent. Has anyone ever heard of this happening? The future of my marriage depends on this answer!
Many kind souls there offered their honest opinions……

iPhone users, better be careful!
SECURITY RESEARCHER Aviv Raff disclosed two Iphone security flaws Thursday that could allow attackers to trick wibblers into unknowingly surfing to malicious destinations.
He had brought both vulnerabilities to Apple’s attention way back in July but the company failed to address them with patches, so he had no choice but to publicly disclose the flaws.
Turn Your iPhone Into Wireless Router
Here is something interesting and useful from John Chow dot Com. John Chow, together with Ed Lau, produced a podcast showing his readers how they turned an iPhone into a wireless router, and then surfed net on their MacBook through the iPhone. It definitely looks cool, and very useful for many iPhone users out there.

Anyone got any other cool stunts using iPhone to share?

Universities Give Out Free iPhone To Freshmen
Aug 25, 2008 Around the Word, IT
At least four institutions — the University of Maryland, Oklahoma Christian University, Abilene Christian and Freed-Hardeman — have announced that they will give the devices to some or all of their students this fall.
Another 2, Standford University and MIT have such plan as well.
Is that necessary? Or is that just a way to woo students? But Standford University and MIT are both rather well known institutes and with good reputations. I don’t think they need such tactic to woo students. I don’t know about the other 4.
On the other hand…
Robert S. Summers, who has taught at Cornell Law School for about 40 years, announced this week — in a detailed, footnoted memorandum — that he would ban laptop computers from his class on contract law.
“I would ban that too if I knew the students were using it in class,” Professor Summers said of the iPhone, after the device and its capabilities were explained to him. “What we want to encourage in these students is active intellectual experience, in which they develop the wide range of complex reasoning abilities required of the good lawyers.”
Welcome, Freshmen. Have an iPod.
