Malaysian Sex Abuser On The Run In Singapore?

A 14-year-old girl befriended a teenager guy through SMS. Then they continued chatting through SMS, later through phone calls. Soon after, the guy asked the girl out. He brought the girl somewhere, molested her. After that, he threatened the girl that he had taken down nude photos of hers. He wanted to meet her again in hotel if not he would spread the photos on Internet. In the hotel, sex happened. And then the guy threatened again that he had video recorded their sex acts, so…… This continued for quite a while and the guy forced her to have sex for many times. Later on, the poor girl found that she is pregnant now. Then the news made it to newspaper.

Then today I saw this:

JOHOR BARU: A teenager who allegedly blackmailed a 14-year-old girl into having sex with him is believed to be on the run and hiding in Singapore.

The 19-year-old was said to be working at a restaurant there since last month.

Johor MCA Public Services and Complaints Bureau deputy chief Rodney Soon said he had passed the youth’s photo and other information to the police.

A police source said they have to check with the Immigration Department to confirm if the youth has left the country.

Hello there, don’t they remember that you just need to FLASH YOUR PASSPORT IN FRONT OF THOSE JB CUSTOM OFFICERS, then you go and enter Singapore? Don’t they know that?

So, are they able to “confirm if they guy has left the country”?

White Card Is a MUST Again for Singaporeans Entering Malaysia

Most of us have known that, starting Jan this year not long before Chinese New Year, the White Card system was scrapped to facilitate Singaporeans entering Malaysia. The JB custam immigration officer will just stamp on Singapore passport. However, it seems that the JB immigration office made a U-turn 2 days back. No official announcement was made to alert potential Singaporean visitors, and created a big mess at JB custom. There was even info that the white card is running out of stock.

I couldn’t find any announcement on Immigration Department of Malaysia website. Neither could I find any relevant news reports from Malaysia local newspaper online. I only saw someone asking about this 3 days ago in a Malaysia forum but nobody could provide answer. Then it was confirmed yesterday, on Singapore HWZ forum. The only news report I could find is the one from Sinchew, the Chinese newspaper from Malaysia. Singapore local tabloid Shin Min Daily News also had a report on this.

What a timing huh? Why now? After ICJ decided Pulau Batu Puteh belongs to Singapore and after the 50km petrol ban.
