Leslie, we are still missing you, our forever 哥哥
Apr 1, 2008 Around the Word, Life
Today, 1st of April, April Fool’s day, is also the day Leslie Cheung left us.
Today five years back (1st April 2003), when the news of his suicide was 1st on radio, TV, internet news portals, many fans couldn’t believe it. They could not understand why Leslie wanted to leave them, and chose to jump off the window from the 24th floor of Mandarin Oriental Hotel. But, a suicide note from Leslie explained it. It was written “Depression! 多謝各位朋友,多謝麥列菲菲教授,這一年很辛苦,不能再忍受, 多謝唐先生,多謝家人,多謝肥姐. 我一生沒做壞事 為何這樣?”.
He brought happiness to many of his fans, even those not his fans. He sang great songs and he took part in some of best Hong Kong movies ever produced. In the later part of his career, he even took up the role of film director. He was talented! And, he was true to his fans, followers, and lover.
追, by our forever 哥哥, Leslie Cheung Kwok-Wing
