Interested in a USD399 Mac?

A Mac clone actually. A Mac vendor has, Pystar, publicized on it’s own website to sell an “OpenMac”, a Leopard compatible system. But later on, that particular article went offline. A Mac OS on a non-Apple system is a violation to Apple’s EULA.
Seriously, if Apple’s Mac is really available at such affordable price, many will just jump over from MS camp……

Google Doc is now OFFLINE
Apr 1, 2008 Around the Word, IT
This is a good news to Google Doc users. Google has finally made Google Doc available offline.
Quote:
The first application to get this offline access will be the word processor, said Ken Norton, Google Docs product manager. “The design goal is to create a seamless experience, with or without an Internet connection,” he said.
Over the next three weeks or so, Google will turn on the feature for all word processor users, giving them the ability to view and edit documents while offline. During the same time period, Google Docs’ spreadsheet will gain offline ability for viewing, but not editing, documents.
Even though it is not in full functions yet, this is a great start. I am confident that Google can and will do it. There is more and more reasons for personal users to ditch Microsoft Office.
