Youporn and RedTube Not Totally Blocked yet

Recently there has been lots of talks about the 2 porn sites, Youporn and RedTube being blocked by Singapore local ISP. I myself talked about it, Hongkiat talked about it and how unprofessional the ISP is, and then DK’s latest entry about the loopholes being blocked. But then, I happened to found another “hole”……

I was reading forwarded mails from friends. Then I clicked on a link without much thinking and it led me to a clip on Youporn. I was surprised. I thought Youporn and RedTube are blocked already? No more loophole? Then I realized, I was on my MaxMobile network instead of my home SingNet ADSL network. I did a test by switching over to SingNet ADSL network. Dah dah, still BLOCKED! And I switched back to MaxMobile, it WORKS! MaxMobile users can try it out yourselves.

Ermmm, seems like the engineer at Starhub forgot about their mobile network…… So guys, 1 more advantage to sign up MaxMobile now! By the way, I am not in any way related to Starhub hoh, other than being their customer.

However, I do not know how long this gonna last. Enjoy while it is still around.

Also, anyone using SingNet Mobile network? Can you visit that 2 sites?

Youporn is the most visited porno-video site in Singapore

This is from Alexa’s Top Sites Singapore, the top 100 sites visited based on traffics from Singapore. It may not be 100% accurate, but I think that, it is not far from it.

Youporn is the 1st porn site in the list at 25th. Other than that, we can also see porno/sex-related sites like RapidShare (to download porn), AdultFriendFinder, YourFileHost, RedTube, SammyBoyForum, MediaFire (similar to RapidShare), Flurl, Badjojo, Megaupload, TheTend, MetaCafe. 10%! Are Singaporeans horny or what?

I was surprised to see Yahoo ahead of Google, but it is acceptable since the list has separated Google and Google Singapore into 2 sites, 1 at 2nd and 1 at 7th place. Yahoo managed the ranking maybe due to Yahoo Mail? I know there are lots of people who are still with Yahoo Mail.

I thought Facebook is hot nowadays, and Friendster is dead. However, Friendster is still ahead of Facebook here.

I do think that JobsDB should be ahead of Jobstreet. Based on my personal experience, JobsDB is much better than Jobstreet…… By the way, no ST710 and Mocca in the list?
