You must be asking, what the hell is this?

This is the title of a book. And this title has won the book The Oddest Title Prize from theBookseller.com. How about the runner-up? “I was Tortured By the Pygmy Love Queen“, another WTH title. According to United Press International, the author of “If You Want Closure In Your Relationship, Start With Your Legs“, Big Boom is an ex-pimp. It is a self-help manual and the comment on it given is

makes redundant an entire genre of self-help tomes. So effective is the title that you don’t even need to read the book itself

This is the 30th year of this award. Other than 1987 and 1991, there is winner for all other 28 years. It was said that for that 2 years, the titles in the competition were “just not odd enough”. Let’s take a look at some of the winners, 1985 winner “Natural Bust Enlargement with Total Power: How to Increase the other 90% of Your Mind to Increase the Size of Your Breasts“, 1997 winner “The Joy of Sex, the Pocket Edition” and 2003 winner “The Big Book of Lesbian Horse Stories“. They are all interesting and eyeballs-catching titles. You sure want to take a look inside the book if you happen to come across any of them, right? That’s the purpose I guess, to catch your attention.

I think, this is rather similar to writing blog articles and giving a catchy title for your article, if you want to attract people. I suck at this I will say, but I am proud to say that I do not copy word-by-word.
